After wearing braces for 3 years, this patient was left with spaces between his front teeth. His dentist filled the gaps with composite bonding. The before picture shows how the bonding looked after two years. The after picture was taken 2 weeks later after the placement of 10 natural looking porcelain veneers. Porcelain is a glass that mimics natural enamel, whereas the composite is a plastic material that discolors and breaks down with time. Porcelain veneers can be placed to fix many issues, including closing spaces between teeth, straightening mis-aligned teeth, and lengthening teeth.
